These Seven Layer Magic Cookie Bars mix together graham crackers, chocolate, walnuts, coconut, and condensed milk for the perfect flavor.
Sometimes these seven layer bars are referred to as Hello Dolly Bars; The Hello Dolly name is a reference to the Broadway musical “Hello, Dolly!” which was a popular musical when these bars were created in the mid-1960s. The easy cookie bars are assembled in seven layers, and they are incredibly delicious
Ingredients needed to make Seven Layer Magic Cookie Bars:
- melted butter
- graham cracker fine crumbs
- chopped walnuts
- milk chocolate chips (or semi-sweet chocolate chips)
- butterscotch chips
- white chocolate chips
- shredded coconut flakes
- sweetened condensed milk
How to make Seven Layer Magic Cookies Bars:
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Pour melted butter into a 13×9-inch baking pan lined with parchment paper (I used a glass pan for this recipe).
- Spread graham cracker crumbs evenly across the bottom of the pan, trying to evenly coat the crumbs in the butter.
- Add a layer of chopped walnuts, then sprinkle chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and white chocolate chips. Pour condensed milk over all the layers, covering everything entirely.
- Top bars with coconut.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is a light golden brown. Cool to room temperature before cutting

- Mix it up by adding peanut butter chips instead of butterscotch, they go perfect with the buttery graham cracker crust.
- You can make your own graham cracker crumbs with a food processor or rolling pin
