Your family will love this easy Sheet pan Chicken Sausage and Vegetables. It’s a great way to get in more veggies at dinnertime.
This recipe was a winner at our house because my whole family ate it and I only dirtied one pan while making it.
I also love that this recipe is a main dish and side dish in one. It doesn’t get much better than that!

What could I replace the chicken sausage with?
If you aren’t a fan of chicken sausage, you could also use a pork or beef sausage. They would work just as well.
We prefer the chicken sausage because they are cooked and ready to be eaten, without any preparation, or baking required. It works best when using chicken sausage and vegetables together.
However, if you aren’t a fan of sausage in general, you could use a grilled chicken, ground turkey, ground beef, steak slices, ham cubes, or any of your favorite meats.
However, you will want to be sure that the meat is cooked before adding it to the recipe. With this particular recipe, the chicken sausage comes cooked, so it doesn’t require any extra baking or cooking.
You will have to prepare the meat on your own depending on what you choose.
Where do I find chicken sausage at the store?
The chicken sausage that we use comes packaged, similar to how hot dogs are packaged. They are sealed up tight, but are still visible through the clear packaging. They are also a little bigger than hot dogs.
Since chicken sausages are wrapped similar to hot dogs, they are also placed near the hot dogs at the grocery store. This is usually by the sandwich/deli meat areas. They will usually be right next to the hot dogs.
