Easy Sunday Meatloaf Recipe

This is not your grandma’s meatloaf recipe, it’s even better and you don’t even need bread! This easy Sunday meatloaf recipe is extremely simple to put together and bursting with flavor.

Our meatloaf recipe is not your typical recipe. This different meatloaf recipe does not require bread or bread crumbs of any kind, but instead, you use pork stuffing! Imagine the flavor that the stuffing adds to this meal, it is amazing. 

Meatloaf is always a hit in our house. Make it up with some delicious sides and you are good to go! I also like that you can throw all the ingredients together and mix and plop it right in the pan and it is essentially good to go. Talk about an easy dinner. 

You can even get the kids involved with making this easy meatloaf recipe. I find that any time my kids help with dinner, they are more likely to at least try it if not love it. Has anyone else tried that method for your picky eaters? They are always proud of what they make.

Make this simple family dinner recipe now!

Start making the meatloaf by preheating the oven to 350 degrees. 

Then, in medium-sized mixing bowl, mix together the milk with the dry pork stuffing mix until all of the stuffing is moist. 

Next, add in the egg, ground beef, ¼ cup of brown sugar, and ¼ cup of ketchup into the bowl with the stuffing mixture. 

Mix everything together until it is well combined. Once everything is mixed together, press it into the bottom of a loaf pan with all of the meatloaf mixture. 

After the meatloaf is set up, the remaining brown sugar on top of the meatloaf and then spread the remaining ketchup on top of the brown sugar. 

Now place it in the oven uncovered and bake it for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 (6 ounce) package pork stuffing mix
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (divided)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (divided)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix milk with stuffing until moist.
  3. Add egg, ground beef, 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup ketchup.
  4. Mix together and press into a loaf pan that has been sprayed with non stick cooking spray.
  5. Mix together the remaining brown sugar and ketchup and spread on top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes.
