So if you let the cookies cool for 5 min the Hershey kiss will still stay on (not fall off??) Can’t wait to try these!! (Tomorrow and will give to missionaries on Sunday — they love love love all your ‘stuff’!!)
I just tried to make this, but it is completely the consistency of cake batter- there is NO way to “roll the dough” it is just drippy. I see that this recipe has an altered version called red velvet hug cookies. Please update the menu recipe plans accordingly so this doesn’t happen to anyone else… what a waste, looks like there’s no way to fix it after adding the water 🙁
Krista,
I am so so sorry. I just went to make them and noticed the same thing too. We’ve got it all figured out on our end now and have told all the menu plan subscribers. We cannot apologize enough and will be sure this doesn’t happen again. Thanks so much for letting us know and again we are so sorry for the inconvenience.
These were not rollable at all. Typically cake cookies are easy…but these didn’t turn out.
So is the recipe now correct? I want to make these.
The recipe should work fine.
My best friend turned me on to all these at a girls night different flavors ideas, I loved my gram dearly and
Will always make at least a plate of her traditional favorite, and also a classic peanut butter cookies in a muffin tin! I’m trying some new desserts most of my family prefer cookies:) so I am already racking my brain🤣🥰
Is there anything that can be used as a substitute for the oil?

Overall I liked this recipe. However, there is a few issues. When I rolled out batter, it was insanely sticky (which wasn’t that much of a hassle to take care of, but still irritating). I also had to bake them for 15 minutes until they were completely done, and the batch only made 18 cookies. In they end they tasted wonderfully, there was just a few issues within the process
I bake a lot of Christmas cookies with chocolates on the top. For me, after I take the baked cookies out of the oven and place the chocolate on them, I place them back in the oven for two minutes just to set them. When I take them out then I let them sit for 5 minutes.
It seems likes it goings to be good, but mine was so sticky I could do anything. Tried adding flour, but it was like glue to my hands. Just dropped 3 big globs to hopefully have at least 3 big cookies.
