Air Fryer Crispy Frozen French Fries

With this Crispy Frozen Fries in the Air Fryer recipe, you will have restaurant-crispy fries, made in a much healthier way.

Now you can get that fried french fry crispiness, with less oil (or often no oil at all!) than a deep fryer.

Put that air fryer to use for more than just reheating chicken nuggets. The best part is, you can enjoy your favorite kind of fries – waffle fries, shoestring fries, or steak fries – with less cooking time from start to finish than using the oven.

Using the air fryer, you can make this easy side dish recipe to go with your favorite burger recipes – a healthier option for dinner with the family in about 15 minutes.

Recipe Ingredients

To make crispy air fryer french fries, you need the following ingredients:

• Fries: get a bag of your favorite frozen french fries
• Spray: use the non-stick cooking spray you have in the kitchen already
• Seasoning: you can keep it simple by using kosher salt or sea salt

Equipment Needed

For this recipe, you only need a few simple kitchen tools. We recommend using the following equipment:

• Air Fryer
• Non-stick Cooking Spray

How To Make Crispy Frozen Fries in The Air Fryer

1. Spray the bottom of the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray.
2. Dump frozen fries into the bottom of the air fryer basket in a single layer.
3. If desired, lightly spray fries with non-stick cooking spray.
4. Sprinkle fries with salt and toss to coat all the fries.
5. Set air fryer to 400 degrees. Set timer for 16 minutes, stirring fries half way at 8-10 minutes for best results.
6. If you want your fries even more crispy, cook for 2-3 minutes more (I like my fries to be really crispy, so I usually cook them for 20-22 minutes).
7. Add more salt (or even garlic powder) if desired. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces and enjoy!

Storage Instructions

While we think the fries taste best fresh, if you have some leftovers, here is the best way to store and reheat them. Let the fries cool to room temperature and store in an airtight container in the fridge for 5 days. Reheat fries in the air fryer at 350 degrees for 3-5 minutes until heated through.
