Even thought this taco dip is lower in calories and fat, it is still full of flavor!
You can alter this recipe to fit your tastes by using your favorite salsa and taco seasoning mix. You could also make your own taco seasoning mix if you prefer; we recommend this recipe.
healthy taco dip substitutions:
You could lighten up this Skinny Taco Dip even more if you substitute sour cream for Greek yogurt. The flavor and consistency will be almost identical but you’ll save a few calories and get a little more protein in your diet.
You can also use fat free cheese to help cut down on fat.

Our friend, Kristin, at Yellow Bliss Road made an amazing Skinny Taco Dip Recipe that she tops with avocado and it looks absolutely heavenly!
As long as you follow the recipe below, you will have a great base for your taco dip, but you could easily add other toppings that you enjoy like green onion, red onion, green chiles, bell peppers, etc.
We love taco dips that have meat in them. You could easily add some grilled chicken or steak to this recipe!
How to Make Skinny Taco Dip:
This easy Skinny Taco Dip can be made in just a few minutes and is always a hit at parties and potlucks. No one will even know it has been lightened up to have less fat and fewer calories because it is so delicious.
In a large mixing bowl, beat together Neufchatel cheese, sour cream, salsa and taco seasoning.
Spread mixture on the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish.
Top with shredded lettuce, tomato, shredded cheese and olives.
Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!
