Recipe Ingredient Notes

- Olive oil
- Onion
- Bag of frozen peas
- Garlic
- Chicken stock (or broth works great too!)
Equipment Needed
For this recipe, you only need a few simple kitchen tools. We recommend using the following equipment:
How to Make Italian Peas
- In a large non-stick skillet (this one is my favorite), heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add diced onion (you can dice it as small as you prefer) and garlic and sauté until onions are soft and clear (about 4-5 minutes).
- Add bag of frozen peas (they can still be frozen, no need to thaw them) and chicken stock to the pan. Cover pan with lid.
- Let simmer for about 10 minutes, or until peas are soft and heated through. Stir them occasionally and when they turn bright green in color, you know that they are done.Make sure not to overcook these peas because they will become wrinkly and squishy.
- Season with salt and pepper and serve.

Great recipe! I LOVE peas! But PLEASE make it possible to print only the recipe instead of the entire post. Thanks!
Making this tomorrow, but are you sure it is just 1 tablespoon of chicken stock? That doesn’t sound quite right.
It is 1 tablespoon, but you can easily add more if you want.
