do i make the instant pudding mix, or do i add it to the mixture?
For this recipe, we are all about making it easy. So you do not make the pudding mix. It will make itself in the mixture, when you are whipping it all together.
Simply combine the milk, whipping cream, pudding mix, and sweetened condensed milk. It will definitely thicken up on its own, that you won’t need to separately make the pudding.
For this recipe, we highly recommend using an electric hand mixer. You could use a whisk but it may take a little longer to get it to thicken up.
The mixture will thicken up, but it just needs to be completely combined and whipped. The whipping cream may take the longest to thicken up, but the pudding mixture should help.
will this work if I use Cook and Serve Pudding mix?
For this recipe, cook and serve pudding mix, will not work. It will be too runny and won’t set up, because you are not cooking anything. The mixture is a cold mixture and does not need any boiling or warm ingredients.
This recipe will not work with cook and serve pudding mix.

Oh boy, this would be dangerous to have in my house! I wouldn’t be abe to stop eating it.
YUM!!! Pinned! I’d love for you to share this at my Saturday Dishes Link Party this weekend! It’s a themed link up & this week’s theme is Memorial Day & Grilling!
I followed the recipe and the cream mixture didn’t come out right. I had to watch the video to see what I did wrong. The recipe needs to be changed. It isn’t written the right way.
After reading the review about the recipe for the cream not being correct I decided to watch the video. She still didn’t explain how to make the cream, but mentioned 1 cup of milk that was not in the written recipe. So this is what I did and it turned out fantastic….. I mixed the pint of whipping cream in my mixer until it was nice and fluffy. In a sepperate bowl I mixed the pudding, sweetened condensed milk, and 1 cup of milk. I let that set up in the fridge for a couple of minutes, then folded in the whipped cream. Delish!
Do you make the instant pudding mix and then add the pudding to the condensed milk and additional cup of milk or do youjust use the pudding powder? My cream came out really really runny and never set up. Thanks!
Do not make the pudding mix first. Just add it in as one of the ingredients.
Adding pudding to your trifle? Make it up to 2 days in advance and leave it refrigerated until you are ready to layer it.
I am so disappointed with the milk and whipping cream mixture. Ugh. Not enough info and it didn’t ever get fluffy.
