Waldorf Turkey Sandwich

This sandwich is so delicious and a great way to use that leftover Thanksgiving turkey.  The raisin bread takes this yummy sandwich over the top!!

  • 1 1/4 cups cooked turkey breast (chicken will work in this recipe too)
  • 1 small apple, chopped (I used a Gala apple)
  • 1/4 cup celery, diced
  • 4 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons walnuts, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons raisins
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 romaine lettuce leaves
  • 8 slices raisin bread


  1. In a large bowl mix together the cooked turkey, chopped apple, celery, mayonnaise, yogurt, walnuts, raisins, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for about 1 hour. Spoon ¾ cup onto 4 slices of toasted raisin bread. Top with a lettuce leaf and then add the other slice of toasted bread on top.
  3. The perfect sandwich!
