These pita nachos are one of my go-to snacks to get over my 3 o’clock hunger attack. They are so easy to make (they literally take just minutes to throw together), and they are pretty healthy, too.
I hate that nachos get a bad rap for being unhealthy, because you can honestly make them pretty healthy. Also, you can load them up with veggies, and they can be extra healthy.
This would be a great meal, or snack, or even a late night munchie. If you are craving nachos, this is definitely a recipe you need to try because it is delicious and practically guiltless.

make it a meal
Don’t call me crazy, but we literally had pita nachos with all the fixings on them for dinner the other night. My kids went crazy for them.
They loved decorating their nachos with all their favorite things, then eating them for dinner. I think I won mom of the day, that night.
If you are looking for ways to make it more healthy and make it a meal, here is what we recommend:
Add Meat: Here are a few of our favorite meats to add to these nachos:
-Chicken (shredded and grilled would both be delicious)
Add Vegetables: Veggies are a great way to add some flavor and healthiness to the recipe.
-Red Bell Peppers
-Green Bell Peppers
-Shredded Lettuce or Spinach
-Red or Yellow Onion
Add Sauce: It’s not nachos without the good stuff on it. Of course add cheese, but here are a few of our favorites:
-Sour Cream (plain Greek yogurt is a great replacement for this)
-Cilantro Lime Ranch
-Thousand Island Dressing
-Oil and Vinegar
