Pita Nachos

These pita nachos are one of my go-to snacks to get over my 3 o’clock hunger attack! They are so easy to make (they literally take just minutes to throw together), and they are pretty healthy, too.

  • 2 whole-wheat 6" pitas
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • pico de gallo, for topping


  1. Split two whole-wheat 6? pitas into six triangles each.
  2. Brush with olive oil and bake at 350 degrees on a cookie sheet for 5 minutes (or until crispy).
  3. Remove from oven and top each with a pinch of mozzarella cheese and a small spoon of pico de gallo.
  4. Bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, until cheese has melted. Serve warm.
