Our homemade Strawberry Dole Whip is a great way to beat a hot summer day. If it’s your first time trying this refreshing treat, you’ll fall in love its creamy texture and rich flavor. It’s a great introduction for those who may be new to Dole Whips and are looking for new recipes to add to their repertoire.
This less tart, dairy-free, version of a dole whip still has the delicious pineapple flavor with a fun strawberry twist. Two hours from start to finish these are perfect for a healthy summer treat!
They may not be the ones from Disneyland but they are refreshing and low-calorie, which sounds like a treat I can definitely get behind.

Recipe Ingredient Notes
To make our strawberry dole whip, you need the following ingredients:
- 3 cups frozen strawberries
- ½ cup pineapple juice
- ½ cup almond milk
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
Equipment Needed
For this recipe, you only need a few simple kitchen tools. We recommend using the following equipment:
- Blender
- Ziploc Bag (Gallon)
- Cups (Glass)
- Scissors

How to Make Our Strawberry Dole Whip
- Blend together three cups of frozen strawberries, pineapple juice, almond milk, and lemon juice. We recommend using Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk and 100% Dole Pineapple Juice.
- Pour blended mixture into a Ziploc Freezer Bag. Place flat in the freezer for two hours. If you don’t have a freezer bag, you can put it in any freezer safe container, just cover it with foil and freeze until slightly firm.
- Once slightly firmed, remove bag from freezer and cut a hole in the corner of the bag.
- Squeeze Dole Whip into a bowl, swirling into a circle, just like at Disneyland! Top with more pineapple juice if desired. These are easiest served in a glass if you want to add more pineapple juice.

Ingredient Substitution
If almond milk isn’t for you, coconut milk or a low-fat cow’s milk will also work in this recipe. Just keep in mind the flavoring and texture may be slightly different. Feel free to experiment with different flavors like mangoes for a more tropical twist!

I really don’t care for almond milk. Can I use something else instead?
I’m wondering the same, but we have allergies in our house.
It’s really yummy with coconut milk!
Can this recipe properly freeze into popsicles?
Looks yummy, can’t wait to try it! Just a small correction, all Dole Whips at Disney are dairy free (all flavors).
Yes, I’m sure you could freeze this just fine!
Is there a juice you might sub for pineapple. I have some family whose mouth breaks out due to pineapple allergy.
Sweetened or unsweetened almond milk?
We used unsweetened almond milk.
