Slow Cooker Ranch Pork Roast Recipe

Growing up, Sunday always meant that Mom had made an amazing meal! Now that I have a family of my own, I have tried to carry on the tradition, but don’t want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. The slow cooker does all the work with this delicious meal. This is one “Sunday worthy” meal that is so easy. It is also a main dish and a side dish in one! Doesn’t get much better than that!

This recipe comes together in a few easy steps for prepping. Spray your slow cooker with non stick cooking spray. Place the potatoes and pork roast in the slow cooker.

In a separate bowl mix together the soup, cream cheese, and dressing mix. Spoon over the meat and potatoes in the slow cooker.

Cover and cook on low for 7 – 9 hours or high heat for 4 hours. We prefer to cook this recipe on low heat.

How to keep pork from drying out while cooking

We get this question a lot with pork recipes. And some people will shy away from using a slow cooker for fear their pork will turn out dry. It’s best to cook pork on low. The high heat can cook similar to boiling, where the low setting on your slow cooker will be more of a braise. Just watch it toward the end of cooking time so you don’t overcook it. Pork shoulder roasts will self baste and stay moist.

Threw this in the crockpot before we went to church and ate it when we got back. This has amazing flavor! We used cream of mushroom soup and added mushrooms, carrots and onion and halved the cream cheese. It tasted so good! Not your average pot roast!
