could i make this recipe without the sweetened condensed milk?
For this recipe, we highly recommend making it with the sweetened condensed milk. It makes it sweeter, more creamy, and creates a more ice cream texture.
We have never made it without the sweetened condensed milk, but I don’t imagine why we ever would. This recipe is delicious as is, and I believe that is from the sweetened condensed milk. You’ll love it.
add some extra mint:
We love mint and chocolate at our house, but if you are wanting to make this recipe a little extra minty, we recommend adding a few (and just about 2-3 drops) of mint extract to the mixture.
If you add to much, it will be a very powerful flavor, but if you like it a little more minty, we recommend adding just a little more.
garnish with extra chocolate:
I love this recipe as is, but I also have an obsession with chocolate. You could easily add more chocolate to this recipe, if desired.
We recommend adding mini chocolate chips to the mixture or even garnishing it with mini chocolate chips.
You could also melt your chocolate chips and do a drizzle on top, or use ice cream chocolate syrup to garnish as well. Be creative with your grasshopper pie, and make it to your liking, whether it be more chocolate or not.
