I love how easy it is to make this fudge. With just a few minutes and a few simple ingredients, you have a tasty treat for your family, friends and neighbors.
Every year around Christmas time, my family and I make fudge together. It usually turns into us sitting at the bar, and our mom making fudge as we talk and snack on her fudge.
It is one of my fondest Christmas memories. This fudge is more than just it’s delicious taste, it is also the memory it holds behind it.
This Easy Butterscotch Fudge, is a recipe I hold near and dear to my heart. We want to share it with you, so you can enjoy the simple pleasures, fudge has brought my family and I through the years.
You are going to love this fudge recipe.
What Could I Use in Place Of Rum Extract?
For the recipe, we highly recommend using the rum extract. It adds a strong butterscotch taste to the fudge, however, if you don’t have any, you could easily use almond extract or vanilla extract.
Again, we recommend rum extract for the best taste, but vanilla or almond is a great replacement. The fudge will taste a little different, but still delicious.
Could I Make This Recipe Without Using Butterscotch Chips?
If you are not a butterscotch fan, you could easily switch out the butterscotch chips for something else.
I prefer the butterscotch, but you could also use milk chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, or peanut butter chocolate chips, for a delicious fudge recipe, the whole family is going to love.
