Marshmallow Frosting:
Did you know that most Moon Pies (Whoopie Pies) are filled with a smooth and creamy Marshmallow frosting?
We have the best recipe as a filling. But you could always fill them with a cream cheese buttercream frosting if that’s what your family prefers.
If you are looking for a recipe shortcut, you could also used pre-made or canned frosting. We recommend making the marshmallow frosting, but if you are in a hurry, and don’t have time to make your own frosting, you could easily use pre-made.
You could shake things up and use a different flavor, like chocolate, cherry, Funfetti, strawberry, German chocolate, etc.
