Ranch Pasta Salad Recipe

Summertime is just around the corner, which means grilling and barbecue season will be in full swing!  We have a lot of gatherings during the summer months and pasta salad are a must!  This recipe is made to feed a crowd and is the perfect side dish to any meal!

  • 1 (16 ounce) package angel hair pasta
  • 1 (2/3 ounce) package Italian salad dressing mix
  • 1/4 cup white distilled vinegar
  • 1/4 cup + 3 Tablespoons water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 (1 ounce) packages ranch dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 (2 1/4 ounce) can sliced olives, drained
  • 2 cucumbers, peeled and diced
  • 1 red onion, diced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup halved cherry tomatoes


  1. Cook pasta according to package directions, rinse in cold water and drain.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together Italian dressing mix, white vinegar, water and vegetable oil.
  3. In another small mixing bowl, whisk together ranch dressing packets with olive oil and red wine vinegar.
  4. Place cooked pasta and remaining ingredients in a large bowl.
  5. Pour both dressing mixtures over top and toss well.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours to give time for flavors to marinate.
  7. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days.

    I made this over the weekend for my college student to take back to school with her for "finals week". One batch made enough for her to take half and we kept half at home. YUM!! Very good. Will definitely make this again. One addition I would make is to add some fresh mozz cheese to it.
