I love easy dinners, and this one is definitely a recipe I make when I don’t have a lot of time. It tastes so good, and takes just minutes to throw together. You will love it.
Pasta lover or not, this recipe is amazing. If you have picky eaters, this is also a fun one for them to try, because the gnocchi is delicious, and a fun one to eat.
My kids love when I make this dish, because they love the noodles, and the sauces tastes absolutely amazing.
It’s the perfect quick and simple meal, for any busy night.
What other meat could I use in this sauce recipe?
I prefer to use ground turkey for this recipe. It is just a little less heavy, but still full of protein and flavor.
If you aren’t a ground turkey lover, you could also use ground beef, ground chicken, chicken sausage, turkey sausage, pork sausage, beef sausage, or even shredded chicken would work well with this recipe.
If you have never really tried ground turkey, I highly recommend giving it a shot, before you choose a different meat. You prepare it just like you would any other ground meat, recipe.
Sneak in some veggies:
The thing I love about this recipe, is how easy it is to add veggies to it, and sneak them in. I recommend the broccoli, but if you are looking to add more greens to the mix, here are a few vegetables that would be delicious in this sauce, that I highly recommend:
- carrots
- zucchini squash
- yellow squash
- cucumbers
- celery
- spinach
- tomatoes
- corn
- broccoli
- cauliflower
- asparagus

Yum, yum, yum! I think I am really in the mood for some pasta or pizza right now…love it!

Yummy!
The red wine vinegar was a horrible idea! I’ve never cooked with it before, just used it in homemade salad dressings. It was all I could taste! I didn’t care for it. I added beef broth and lots of sugar and pepper and I could still really taste the vinegar. If I were to make it again I would substitute it with red wine or beef broth.
Do you have low carb/calorie dishes? I am pre-diabetic so cutting carbs and sugars and would appreciate any that might work for me. Thanks!
