Ingredients used to make Chewy M&M Cookies:
- Brown sugar packed
- White sugar
- Butter softened to room temperature
- Eggs
- Vanilla extract
- Flour
- Baking soda
- Salt
- M&M candies (or other candy-coated milk chocolate pieces)
How to make Chewy M&M Cookies:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl cream butter with sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract with an electric mixer or a paddle attachment if you are using a stand mixer on low speed until all the wet ingredients are mixed completely.
- Now, add the dry ingredients of flour, salt, and baking soda to creamed mixture. Blend well until the flour mixture is completely combined.
- Add 3/4 cup of M&M candies.
- Drop the balls of dough by teaspoonful onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Slightly push a few candies on top of the cookies of each of the cookie dough balls with the remaining candies.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes, or until slightly golden then let them cool completely on a wire rack.
Tips for making chewy M&M crunchy baked cookies:
- To make thicker cookies let the dough sit in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes chilling time before cooking.
- Use a cookie scoop to make sure the cookies bake evenly to get crispy edges with nice soft centers.
- Store the chewy chocolate chip cookies that are left over in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
