The other day, my cute neighbors showed up at my door with a HUGE 10 pound watermelon.

We love watermelon, but I knew that there was no way we would be able to eat all of it before it went bad. I started looking for recipes that I could make with watermelon and combined a couple of them to come up with this.

My kids loved this Watermelon Slush Drink. It was the perfect drink on a hot day.

They had been outside running around all day, and it was the perfect refreshing drink, to keep them feeling cool and energized. I also enjoyed a little myself.

It’s always a fun one for the kids to help with. It’s super easy, and tastes delicious. It’s definitely a drink the whole family will love.

what other fruit could i add to this recipe?

I love this recipe, because you can make it with just about any of your favorite fruits. I especially love the watermelon in this recipe, because it definitely makes it more of a slush, than a drink.

However, if you want to use watermelon and add another fruit or flavor to it, you definitely can. Here are a few of our favorite fruits to add to this recipe:

strawberries
raspberries
blueberries
blackberries
peaches
pineapple
oranges
cantaloupe

You can also add flavor extracts to give it a little more flavor and kick. Here are a few extracts we recommend using:

coconut
pineapple
raspberry
strawberry
watermelon
orange
lemon

These extracts will just give it a little boost of flavor. We recommend only adding one drop at a time, then adding more as needed. You can always add more, but it’s hard to take it back, after adding it.

▢ ⅛ cup lime juice
▢ 1 cup lemon lime soda

Place all ingredients in a blender and mix until blended.
Pour into a freezable container and freeze until slushy, about 2 hours.
