This Instant Pot Creamy Shrimp Alfredo Fettuccine is one of my new favorite things to make in the Instant Pot. It is quick, easy, and tastes SO GOOD!
Are you one of the many who got an Instant Pot for Christmas? Or maybe you got it last Christmas and it is still sitting in the box? You’re not alone! But, you NEED to take it out for this recipe!
This Instant Pot Creamy Shrimp Alfredo shows you how versatile the Instant Pot is. It can be used for so much more than hard boiled eggs and soup (although we love those too)!
Plus, if you’re looking for a fancy dish to share with your sweetheart on Valentine’s, this Instant Pot Creamy Shrimp Alfredo Fettuccine is the one you need.
It’s delicious, plus quick and easy to make so that you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time with your special someone.

How to make Instant Pot Creamy Shrimp Alfredo Pasta:
First, place the noodles and 3 cups water in the Instant Pot. Close the lid and turn the valve to sealing, not venting. Push the “Manual” or “Pressure Cook” button and set it to cook for 4 minutes.
After the noodles are done cooking, remove them from the pot and set them to the side.
Push the saute button on the Instant Pot. When the Instant Pot says “hot”, add the oil. After making sure your shrimp are peeled and deveined, season the shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Next, add the shrimp and cook for 1 -2 minutes on each side. You’ll know they are done when they are no longer translucent. The insides will be white and the outsides will be a golden/pink color. Remove the shrimp from the Instant Pot and set aside.
After removing the shrimp, add butter, onion, and garlic and saute until the onion is golden brown. Add the chicken broth and scrape the bottom of the pot to get all the onions loose.
Next add the cream and simmer for 2 minutes. Then, add parmesan and stir until creamy and smooth. Press the “Cancel/Keep warm” button.
Add paprika, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir in the shrimp and pasta.

Could I add vegetables to this Creamy Shrimp Pasta?
This is a great dish to supplement with vegetables. Here are some ideas:
- Steam some broccoli to serve alongside.
- Add mushrooms when you are sautéing the onions and garlic.
- Serve with a simple side salad of your choice. (We have a lot of salads to choose from.)

My wife’s favorite dish is angel hair pasta with Alfredo. I made this with angel hair pasta and shrimp for Valentine’s day and we loved it. I did use the stove for the pasta but the Instant Pot worked perfectly for the rest. Thank you very much for sharing. The pork shoulder/ BBQ dump recipe was also a big hit. Thanks, Summey
Do you put to venting quick release ? After noddles

How would you cook gluten free or quinoa pasta how long so it doesn’t get mushy?? (Even if you haven’t used) it’s hard to tell?

Loved this! We added broccoli and left out shrimp this time to serve as side dish. I didn’t have enough whipping cream, so I added some cream cheese. This made it really creamy. Definitely a keeper! First time using new instant pot.
We are so glad you liked the recipe and how exciting that you are using your New Instant Pot!!
