I found myself buying garlic butter almost every week at the grocery store. I don’t know what it was but I just wanted to put it on everything! It finally occurred to me one day that it would probably be cheaper AND healthier to make it at home.
How To Make Garlic Butter
We used salted butter in this recipe, but any spreadable butter would work. We kept our ingredients pretty simple, but the great thing about this recipe is that you can add just about any spices or flavors you’d like. We loved it with the parmesan cheese!
You can whip this up in just a matter of minutes! Store the butter in an airtight container in your fridge for up to 14 days (if it lasts that long!). We recently made this for our Roasted Garlic Butter Carrots and can’t wait to try it on other vegetables. It would be great with green beans, asparagus, or even on potatoes.
Tips to Achieve Perfect Garlic Butter
I think one thing we can agree on is that consistency makes or breaks a homemade butter. Luckily this quick recipe doesn’t actually require us to make the butter ourselves, but rather take our favorite ingredients and combine them together.
Using spreadable butter in this recipe such as Country Crock or “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter” allows you to keep that same consistency in your garlic butter. We even used the same container to store our butter after it was made, keeping it fresh in the refrigerator. Use your favorite spreadable butter and make it better with the few ingredients in this recipe.
I’m a huge fan of garlic bread, and this Homemade Garlic Butter has the most delicious taste.
