Baked Steak and Cheddar Taquitos

I am loving all of the steak recipes right now! Whenever I eat steak, it brings back so many memories of my Dad grilling on a hot summer day.   Sad as it is… we don’t have a grill right now, so I find ways to cook my steak other ways beside the grill. If you love steak, you are going to love these Steak and Cheddar Taquitos.

Baked Steak and Cheddar Taquitos

  • 2 cups cooked steak, cut in bite-size pieces
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 10 (8-inch) flour tortillas


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl combine the cooked steak, cheese, salsa, sour cream, salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Spread 2 heaping spoonfuls of steak mixture in the center of the tortilla. Roll it up and place seam side down on a cookie sheet.  Repeat until all the tortillas are filled and rolled.
  4. Place cookie sheet in the oven and cook for 20 minutes or until the tortillas turn a little brown. Watch them to make sure they don't burn.
  5. Serve with your choice of dipping sauce (I chose guacamole)
