Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken Recipe

I love slow cooker recipes that I can just throw everything in in the morning, and let the slow cooker do the work! This chicken is so juicy and flavorful. Both my picky eaters devoured it and I am sure your family will too!

  1. I'm sorry, but this did not taste good. It was too strong a flavour. And once I added the cornstarch, the chicken tasted chalky. The picture looks good and the ingredients were easy so I made it today... Very disappointed... Your site usually has great recipes.
  2. I just started a new job not long ago and I love it!! My problem is that i now work only 4 days a week but they are 9 - 91/2 hour days. Is it ok to leave something on low in the crockpot that long? my husband says not, but what do you girls think?
  3. I recently started a new job that I am gone from home for 9 - 9 1/2 hours a day. For chicken and other recipes that are done on low for 6-8 hours, would it be ok to leave it for 10 hours (includes driving time) love that I found your site. everything looks so good.
    • Hi Sandy! You have a long day! It should be ok on low for about 10 hours. I would add a little more of the lemon lime soda so that it doesn't dry out. Just need to be sure you have enough liquid, but then you don't want it swimming. Best of luck with this.

I made this recipe today to kick off my Spring Cleaning New Recipe Challenge on my blog. This is the first recipe that I've prepared in the Crock Pot that my husband has liked and said was okay to make again. I am also including the Monterey Chicken recipe that's posted on here, as well. Thank you for posting the first Crock Pot recipe that I've made that my husband has actually liked!

Hi, this is the second time I've tried this (or something similar). I've cooked it on low but after about 4 hours the chicken looks burnt on the outside and although still shreds, isn't shredding as well as some of the other chicken dishes I've tried. There's plenty of liquid but I just don't know what I'm doing wrong? Any ideas? Love your website, although I do wish it was converted for UK too!
  6. I'm sorry - this was terrible. Way too sweet and tangy. I should have known this was way too much brown sugar and honey and garlic. It was completely overwhelming. I spent hours trying to save it, and I got it to edible, but we threw out what was left over. I didn't trust the recipe, but there were so many positive comments that I went against my better judgment. Really need to cut back on those ingredients, probably in half.
