Where do you find cider powder?
It’s actually found in the grocery stores by the hot cocoa packets and spiced cider packets. We have an amazon link on the post so you can see what it looks like.
Do the caramels stay soft after it cools? My crew won’t it it if they harden up and get chewy.
We served the cake warm. The caramel is soft but not gooey.
Do you prepare the cake batter or dump it on top unprepared?
Just dump the cake powder mix on top. Do not make the cake according to package directions.

In oven currently! One question…do the apple cider dump cake leftovers need to be refrigerated??
This sounds delicious! Your pumpkin dump cake is in the oven now, and it’s a family favorite! I was just thinking about how to adapt this recipe for an apple version, and you’ve already done the work for me! Can’t wait to try this one! Question: would Kraft caramel baking bits work as well as the halved Kraft caramels?
Yes, they should work fine and so easy!
I write You from Germany ;). I love Your recipes and Your site sooo much. And today, I have a question. If You write 350 degree and I suppose, this is Fahrenheit, so that I have to set my oven to about 175-180 degree. Is this right? Is it the case that whenever you give information about the temperature when baking, it is given in Fahrenheit?
So I thank You very much for Your answer and for Your wonderfull recipes and Your great site!
Best regards, Anja
Hi Anja. Hello in Germany!! Our recipes temperatures are in Fahrenheit.
