During the summer, we always spend a day at the fair eating the food and trying out the rides (which terrifies me knowing they can put them up and take them down in a matter of hours!). One of my favorite things to eat at the fair is grilled corn on the cob. It has such a nice, smoky flavor to it that I think is utterly divine! I thought it would be so easy to make at home, and boy was I right! Now I won’t have to spend my summer on rickety thrill rides just to get a nice grilled corn on the cob. 🙂

How to Grill Corn on the Cob Recipe
One of my favorite things to eat at the fair is grilled corn on the cob. It has such a nice, smoky flavor to it that I think is utterly divine! I thought it would be so easy to make at home, and boy was I right!
Serving
Ingredients
- 4 ears of corn
- 4 Tablespoons butter
- salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Preheat grill to high heat.
- Peel back corn husks, leaving them attached at the base of the ear of corn. Remove and discard silk. Spread 1 Tablespoon of butter over each ear of corn and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pull husks back over the corn. Completely cover each ear of corn in aluminum foil. Place foiled corn on the grill and cover.
- Cook for 30 minutes, occasionally turning corn cobs using tongs. Remove foil and pull back husks before serving.

We love grilled corn! We have between grilling it a lot lately so we don’t heat the kitchen up. We remove the silk and soak the corn in water for 15-30 minutes (depending on how much time we have) before grilling. we put the corn on the grill in the husks though. I think I’ll try a variation of your method and mine! 🙂
