My girls love rolls! I’ve never tried orange rolls before but when my husband walked in the door he was thrilled to find orange rolls on his plate. They were so simple and easy and everyone in my family loved them! Hope you love them as much as we did!
EASY ORANGE ROLLS RECIPE
These orange rolls are so simple and easy, and everyone in my family loved them!
Serving people
Ingredients
- 12 Rhodes frozen roll dough
- ¼ cup butter, softened
- 2 Tablespoons orange zest
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- fresh orange juice
Instructions
- Let the frozen dough thaw out on the counter for about two hours.
- Once the dough is workable, but still cool, roll the dough balls into ropes and then tie a knot.
- Dip the knots in softened butter.
- Place rolls in a greased pan and let rise for at least 40 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 15-20 minutes, until they are golden.
- Let the rolls cool. Make a glaze by combining powdered sugar, orange zest, and fresh orange juice. Whisk until smooth. Start with just 2 Tablespoons of orange juice then slowly add more. You want your consistency to become a glaze.
- With a spoon ice the rolls with the orange glaze.

It will be easier to “dip” the knots into the glaze.
These sound incredible! Do you have any suggestions for some type of spread that would pair well with them (honey butter, maybe?), or is the flavor significant enough to stand on its own? I’m so eager to make them!
These sound great–perfect for a special weekend meal or holiday. I love using Rhodes dough and will definitely give this version a try!
