One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to try and snack healthier.
I do really well eating healthy for breakfast and lunch (and even dinner), but 3 o’clock rolls around and I start scrounging for the most unhealthy things I can find in my house.
This dark chocolate trail mix still has the sweet taste of chocolate that I love, but it is much healthier than all those chocolate chip cookies and candy bars I love to consume.
It is so easy to make, and such a versatile recipe. You could switch out any ingredients that you needed, to make it to your liking.

- Airtight Container: Transfer mix to a tightly sealed Tupperware, glass jar, or heavy-duty Ziploc bag. Squeeze as much air as possible out of bags to maintain crispness.
- Shelf Life: It stays fresh for 2 weeks on average, though it tastes best if eaten within the first 2–3 days.
- Avoid the Fridge: Never store Trail Mix in the refrigerator; the cold and humidity will cause it to lose its crunch and become soggy.
