I am a huge pasta fan! It seriously feels like Christmas to me when Olive Garden has their unlimited pasta special. I usually drag my husband there a few times during the promotional period. 🙂
I was craving some pasta recently and definitely was not looking appealing enough to head out anywhere, so I rummaged through my pantry and fridge and this beautiful pasta was born. It tasted absolutely amazing and tamed my crazy pasta eating urges….for awhile at least!

This looks absolutely delicious. I'd gobble it up in no time. I just had to stop by to poke about. I spoke with your dad today, he's working on my site so it inspired me to head over and say hello. Love the family vibe here. It's fantastic.

This is going to be a GREAT favorite with my girls!! Mary x

Wow.. what a coincedence!!!! That dish looks almost identical to the one on Ree Drummond's website minus the chicken plus hall and half instead of ricotta. How odd........
-
So rude Beth! It's a basic pasta dish. Chances are its going to have similar ingredients as other people's quick pasta dishes. Don't spread your negative attitude around here. This website rocks!
-
I've never even been to that web site but I have made many dishes quite similar. Including ones with chicken. Gee. Guess I am ripping it off too, even though I have never seen that specific recipe. *eyeroll* Please. It's a completely basic recipe, more of a formula than a recipe. There are hundreds if not thousands of recipes like this shared all over the place, from just as many people. Does not mean anyone is stealing it from anyone else - just means it's something so basic a ton of people have their own versions of it and given it's simplicity, they're bound to look remarkably similar to one another.
-
Maybe Ree copied her!!!
-
Actually Beth R, there are plenty of differences in the two recipes. It's like saying someone copied another persons cake recipe just because they had a few of the same base ingredients and a similar process. If you cant say something nice, maybe you shouldn't say anything at all. Good golly.

looks yummy. but i thought you're not supposed to rinse pasta unless it's going into a cold pasta salad. the starch that just got rinsed off is what the sauces stick to. o-O

Just made it ahead of dinner tonight! Had a bite and can't wait to eat it :-). So you have any nutritional info on this or other recipes? Thanks for sharing!

How many people does this recipe serve? I'm making it tonight! Sooo nice to not have to go to the grocery store! I have alll those ingredients at home! I'm pretty young and new to cooking. Would buttermilk be disgusting instead of half and half?
-
I made this tonight after I had a crock pot fail, and needed to make something on the fly. It was very easy to make and was good! Next time I will probably half the Italian seasoning because it was very prominent in the sauce.
