Brownies with Peanut Butter Buttercream Frosting Recipe

There is a bakery near my house that serves the best brownies!  One of my favorite brownies has the creamiest peanut butter frosting and I knew I had to recreate it at home!  These brownies are so fudgy and the peanut butter frosting puts them over the top!

Ingredients

Brownies

• ▢ 1 cup butter, melted
• ▢ 2 ½ cups sugar
• ▢ 1 Tablespoon vanilla
• ▢ 4 eggs
• ▢ 1 ½ cups flour
• ▢ 1 cup cocoa
• ▢ ½ teaspoon salt

Peanut Butter Frosting

• ▢ ½ cup butter, softened
• ▢ 2 Tablespoon peanut butter (creamy)
• ▢ 4 cups powdered sugar
• ▢ 3 Tablespoon milk
• ▢ 1 teaspoon vanilla
• ▢ 1 cup Reese's Pieces, for topping

• Baking Dish (9 x 13)

Instructions

Brownies

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a large bowl, combine butter, sugar and vanilla with a hand mixer until smooth.
3. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
4. Stir in flour, cocoa and salt until combined.
5. Spray a 9 x 13 inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
6. Spread batter in prepared pan.
7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.

Peanut Butter Frosting

1. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and peanut butter together until light and fluffy.
2. Add powdered sugar, milk and vanilla and beat until well combined.
3. Spread over the top of cooled brownies and sprinkle with Reese's Pieces.
