Every Christmas Eve we have a family party and have all kinds of activities from gingerbread making contests, to family skits.
One of my favorite things to bring to the party is a cheese ball. I always used to go and buy one from the store, that is until I made this 4 ingredient ball.
It is so easy and WAY better than any store bought cheese ball. It is so creamy, and fresh, and the nuts on the outside are just the cherry on top.
They add just the right amount of texture and crunch, which really adds to the cheeseball. We promise you’ll love it.
what could I dip in the cheeseball?
The most critical part of this recipe, is deciding what types of food to dip in it. I personally wouldn’t mind going in with a spoon, but it may taste better with a little something crunchy.
I have a lot of recommendations, but here are a few of my favorite things to dip into this simple and delicious 4 Ingredient Cheeseball:
-Pretzels
-Wheat Thins
-Pigs In a Blanket Crackers
-Saltines
-Pita Bread
-Ritz Crackers
-Fresh Baked Bread
-Club Crackers
-Bruschetta
what could I roll the cheeseball in if i don’t like pecans?
The thing I love about this cheeseball, is that the pecans are so faint, but just add a little texture. If you are worried about taste, they don’t really bring much flavor to the cheeseball, it’s more for look and texture.
However, if you have an allergy or just really don’t like them, they can easily be replaced. I have rolled mine in crushed pistachios before and it was delicious.
I have also rolled mine in crushed pretzels, which still gave it a little bit of a crunch texture.
You could also leave it plain, or roll it in a little extra mozzarella cheese that is finely diced and shredded.

4 Ingredient Cheeseball Recipe
Ingredients
- 16 ounces packages of fat free cream cheese, softened
- 1 ounces ranch dressing mix
- 2½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1½ cups chopped pecans
Instructions
- In a medium size bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
- Mix the dressing mix and the mozzarella into the cream cheese.
- Shape the mixture into a ball. Roll the ball in the chopped nuts.
- Refrigerate, covered, until ready to serve.
