I always loved Sunday dinners growing up.
Our mom usually had something slow cooking while we were at church, so we would come home to the aroma of delicious food.
This glazed ham makes a wonderful dinner any day of the week because it is so simple and delicious.
I love making this recipe for Easter, Christmas, New Years Eve, Thanksgiving, or just for any special occasion. My husband always requests this on his birthday.
It is the perfect main dish for any Occassion, and your guests are sure to love it.
what should I do if my ham doesn’t fit in the slow cooker?
This happens with my ham all the time, but don’t worry, there is an easy fix.
If your ham doesn’t fit in the slow cooker with the lid on, Here is what you do:
Place the ham in your slow cooker, cover the top of it with foil, making sure the foil is completely sealed around the edges of the slow cooker, and no ham is poking out.
I usually do about 3 layers of foil, just to ensure no heat is getting out.
Then place a heavy towel (or even 2 or 3 towels) over the foil. This just helps ensure all the heat is staying in.
Cook for 8-10 hours as directed.
should i use bone in or boneless ham?
You could use either. I prefer to not deal with the hassle of a bone in my meat, but you could easily use bone in.
Bone in hams tend to cook a little faster, so you may want to check on it after about 7 hours of cooking, just to be sure it’s not over cooked.
