This sounds yummy! I’ve done something similar before with jellied cranberry sauce and a bottle of Heinz Chili Sauce. Very good! They were a huge hit!

I’ve always made them with grape jelly and Heinz Chili Sauce! I’ll have to try these!
Hi Sisters! I just wanted to tell you I had seen you on Pinterest but finally clicked over to your website, and I’m glad I did! This is such a cute site that I will definitely be following along. I have 8 children (5 boys, 3 girls, ranging in age from almost 15-10 months) but having 6 sisters must be a ton of fun 🙂 I’m loving your slow cooker recipes for the weekdays when our evenings are hectic with sports. I’m sure my husband will appreciate it! Thanks again, and I will be checking back often 🙂
Yummy, we had this tonight. I did cut the sauce ingredients in half and actually had a 32 oz bag of meatballs…perfect! This is a Kemp Keeper!
Thanks!

I made these for our baby’s baptism party – I was going for a fall theme for food, and the cranberries are what won me over 🙂 Plus it’s easy food to eat off of a paper plate, but yet hearty for those who want more than just a fruit and veggie tray.
This recipe turned out so amazingly good it’s insane. I used about 3.5 lbs of frozen meatballs, and 2 packages of little wienies (football loving men and 3 year-olds both can’t resist little hot dogs).
Since I had more meat, used a double sized bottle of bbq (from Sam’s Club) and one can of whole cranberry sauce. It was the perfect amount of sauce, and the cranberries added a wonderful sweetness and tanginess.
We’ve been devouring the leftovers & we like them best served with mashed potatoes.
Thank you so much for posting this! We will be making it often!
Amazingly good! made it tonight and I made my own meatballs too.
I need to make this for 20-25 people. Should I double, triple the recipe??
Thanks!
This recipe serves about 7 to 8 people. So you will want to at least triple the recipe. If you are feeding a lot of adult men, you may want to quadruple the recipe.
I’ve made this sauce my whole life… my mom cut the recipe out in the 1950’s…
BUT… so worth making the cocktail meatballs night before… ground beef, mined onions, sweet pickle relish… then roll the meatballs and shake in (chicken) shake-n-bake
in the oven, then into the crock pot day of the party with cranberry & ketchup…
Will it turn out the same if I use a can of Whole cranberry? I don’t have the jellied on hand?
It should be fine with whole cranberries. Especially if you love cranberries!
This is so easy, so quick, and so yummy! Everyone just loved them.
Thanks for that recipe for the meatballs. I’m not a fan of the frozen ones and this is one I haven’t seen. Sounds great.
