Red Velvet Hot Chocolate

I am a Hot Chocolate girl. I love trying all the different varieties and flavors, or flavor enhancers and mix ins. But as soon as I took a sip of this Red Velvet Hot Chocolate, I knew it was love. This is the best hot chocolate recipe, I have ever tried, and I highly recommend it.

This Homemade Red Velvet Hot Chocolate is the perfect Christmas or Valentine’s Day treat. It only takes a few minutes to whip up, and the creamy, chocolaty taste is unbeatable.

As an avid hot chocolate taster, you can trust that this is one of the best hot chocolate recipes, I have ever had.

It has such a delicious and unique flavor to it, but still the classic hot chocolate aroma and taste, that you love.

It is such a fun drink for the holidays, and did I mention how good and creamy it tastes?

what could I replace the milk with?

If you are looking to replace the milk in this recipe, you could easily swap it out for water, or even almond milk.

I have never used coconut milk with this recipe, but I’m sure it would work just as well.

We definitely recommend and prefer milk, but hopefully these alternatives are helpful.

the best things to serve with hot chocolate:

Because you can have hot chocolate plain, but it’s way better to eat it with a holiday snack, I have a few ideas of what you could serve with it.

Hot Chocolate is so delicious, when you have something to dip in it. I also love washing down desserts and various goodies, with hot chocolate. It’s a win win, and you will love these flavor combos.

Here are a few of my favorite Hot chocolate dippings and sides:

Donuts: The ultimate holiday combo. This is also a fun date night or family night. Our favorite donut recipe, is our Puff Pastry Donuts.

Graham Crackers: Graham crackers and milk are delicious, but have you ever had graham crackers and hot chocolate? Out of this world.

Chocolate chip cookies: Okay does it get any better than this combination? The two ultimate comfort foods come together to create holiday magic. Try our favorite cookies, Sheet Pan Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars.

-Oreos: Another cookie classic, but they are way better when dipped in hot chocolate, than in milk.

Candy Canes: I love adding a taste of peppermint to my hot chocolate. It just tastes like Christmas in a cup.
