I love fried chicken, but I don’t love all the extra calories and fat that come with it. This chicken is so crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside that you just might think you are eating fried chicken. It is full of flavor and our whole family devoured it!

making this tonight!
Sounds delicious!!! Can I use any kind of chicken? bone in or out?
I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts, but I am sure any kind would work!
Loved this recipe! I cut the chicken breasts in half and only baked them for about 40 minutes and the chicken was nice and moist. It was a huge hit with my family, it didn’t exactly taste like fried chicken but it was really crispy. I loved the idea of using the onions, we had just bought a huge bag from Costco to use in our salads!
Wow, this recipe is so easy! Thanks for sharing. Do the French fried onions give it a string onion flavor?
Strong*
Not that strong. Our kids loved it and they aren’t big into the onion flavor.
How did you cut the chicken? How many pieces and how thick?
Hi Erin, You can cut the chicken into whatever sizes you want. Depending on the size of the chicken breasts, we often cut them into fourths or sixths.
New family favorite! Thank you
