When I think of fall, I automatically think of caramel apples. I remember my mom melting a huge pot of caramel and dipping in countless apples for all of us to devour! Now that I have children of my own, it is a tradition I plan to carry on in my own family. I decided to try a twist on the caramel apple that would be easier for my toddler to eat, and boy did he eat!

This sounds delish! How many caramels does it take to make 1 cup of melted caramel?

These look amazing! I have all of the ingredients for this recipe so I may try it out this weekend. Thanks for sharing on Marvelous Mondays!
Hi!
I would use about 10 to 12 caramels!
These look ridiculous! Seriously, now I HAVE to make them this weekend. Thanks so much for sharing at get Schooled Saturday at Too Much Time!

These were delicious!! A big hit for my Thanksgiving dessert. My DH is a caramel junkie so I used most of a bag of caramels and increased the cream to 1/3c. to make a solid caramel top (why drizzle when you can drown!), although it was more calories it was worth every bite!
i made these for a new year’s eve party. there were nothing but rave reviews. there were 2 people who don’t like cheesecake – AT ALL – but they went back for seconds (& thirds) of these sinfully delectable morsels of apple crack goodness. thank you.
A great article written with great hard work
I just tried these out. They are amazing! And really, this is a pretty simple recipe 🙂 will definitely be making these again and again!!!
Something is missing—the recipe starts with the cheesecake filling. I dont see where it tells you how much flour, sugar and butter go in the bottom crust! Not sure how other folks are making this.
Thank you for bringing that to our attention. We went in and made changes to the recipe.
I notice I should line the pan with foil, so after the cake is cooked and cooled, is that when you lift it out of the pan? And then drizzle the caramel over it?
We lifted it out of the pan after it was all done being made. But you can do it before adding the caramel.
