Every year in Utah we celebrate Pioneer Day – honoring our heritage here in the Beehive State. There is usually a huge firework show, parades, and my favorite part – barbecues! This year we all gathered at a friends house, and she brought this fabulous dip. I was in HEAVEN. I have shared my love of cheesecake before with the Cake Batter Cheesecake Bars – and for those of you who loved those, you will definitely love this dip. It is creamy and delicious, with just the right touch of chocolate.

Red Velvet Cheesecake Dip Recipe
This dip is creamy and delicious, with just the right touch of chocolate.
Serving people
Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
- ½ cup butter, at room temperature
- 1½ cups red velvet cake mix
- 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- chocolate chips
Instructions
- Mix together the cream cheese and butter until smooth and slightly fluffy.
- Next, add in the cake mix, brown sugar, and powdered sugar until completely combined.
- Fold in the bag of chocolate chips. I like it best served with vanilla wafers or graham crackers.

I just want to say THANK YOU for posting all these recipes! I have tried quiet a few this past week and I am in love with your page! The recipes are simple, quick and most of all DELICIOUS! Thank you girls for sharing!
This doesn’t need to be baked? If not, how awesome!
No baking!! 🙂 Be careful, it’s addicting dip.
I was looking for a quick and easy recipe for a last minute potluck dessert for work. (I had forgotten about the potluck and got home very late the night before). I came across this recipe and thought I would go ahead and try it. It was delicious. Within a few moments my co-workers had devoured the entire dish. Asking where did I get the recipe. It was an easy and fun way to get some compliments …
I would encourage anyone to try and resist this recipe.. 🙂
I later tried Chocolate cake and it was equally good..
Have you tried it with reduced fat/fat free cream cheese? Does it taste as good or mix as well?
Thank you for your recipes!! And thank you in advance!
I made it this past weekend with reduced fat cream cheese and it came out really good. The recipe itself is very simple to make and great. I used animal crackers for the dip instead of Vanilla Wafers or Graham Crackers.
Does anyone know about how many this serves? Tyring to decide whether to double it or not.
How many of these can you make from 1 box of red velvet cake mix? Thinking of Christmas gifts and wonder how many boxes of cake mix I will need to buy?
A box of cake mix usually has about 3 cups of dry cake mix in the package. So if that is the case you should get about 2 batches out of one box.
Holy cow. This is like crack dip! Easy and delicious.
