What an awesome idea! Perfect for a super bowl party 🙂
Started laughing when I saw these. I made something very similar for dinner tonight and wondered if anybody else ate them growing up. I add rice to my hamburger along with green peppers, onions, and cream of mushroom soup. No bbq sauce just some garlic powder, and cayenne for a little spice topped with cheese. I will have to try these!
Sounds good. I love anything BBQ and these would be an easy dinner.
Have you ever tried freezing these? They look yummy!
Hi Amie, We have never frozen them before. We eat them all too fast! I think they would freeze well. My only question would be the biscuit. Not sure if it would soften up and be a little soggy. Let us know if you give it a try. Thanks so much for stopping by our blog! Have a great day!
I have been making these for years. We use flaky, layer biscuits and use only half of a biscuit in each tin. I only need one can of biscuits that way and they still hold up well.
That sounds good too! How much rice do you use? Minute rice? Or regular rice?
Hilarious! I thought this was a tacky recipe that my husband made up 🙂 (he swears his mom made them growing up…)
His recipe is very basic … YOURS… I wouldn’t mind serving company 🙂
Ours: 1.5# ground beef. 1 bottle BBQ sauce 1 pkg grands biscuits & some shredded cheese.
it is a family favorite but it is on my list beside “stuffed hot dogs” for cozy meals without company 🙂 hahahhaha
again…. YOURS is a delightful and more adult idea 🙂
