My husband loves mashed potatoes. This is a twist on mashed potatoes our whole family can agree on! They are packed with flavor, so you don’t even need gravy!

CREAMY GARLIC MASHED POTATOES RECIPE
This is a twist on mashed potatoes our whole family can agree on! They are packed with flavor, so you don't even need gravy!
Serving people
Ingredients
- 3 pounds Russet potatoes
- 2 Tablespoons salt
- 2 cups milk
- 6 cloves garlic
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Peel and dice potatoes. Place potatoes in a large sauce pan, add salt and cover with water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and cook until potatoes fall apart when poked with a fork (around 20 minutes). In a medium saucepan, heat milk and garlic over medium heat until simmering. Set aside.
- Remove the potatoes from heat and drain the water. Mash the potatoes and add the garlic-milk mixture and whip together using an electric mixer or whisk. Add Parmesan and stir to combine. Let stand for a few minutes to thicken, then serve.

Yum! by the bowlful!
I sometimes add chopped chives, parsley and thyme as well as substituting thickened cream for the milk, fresh ground black pepper.

Made these potatoes tonight. Everything was perfect except the salt.
Think the two Tablespoons may be a typo. I would go with more like 2 teaspoons. Otherwise everything else was perfect
It’s tablespoons, but you can adjust it to however much salt you like.
