Reese’s Chocolate Butter Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 15.25 ounces Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 1 egg
  • 12 peanut butter cups (full size circle), cut into sixths
  • 4 snack size butterfinger candy bars coarsely chopped
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees for a generously greased 9 x 13 inch glass pan.
  • Combine the cake mix, melted butter, and egg and mix until combined. Cover the bottom of the greased pan evenly with the cake mixture.
  • Spread the peanut butter cups and butterfinger pieces over the cake mixture.
  • Mix together the cream cheese, peanut butter and eggs and vanilla until well blended. Then add the butter.
  • Then mix in the powdered sugar until well blended. Spread over the candy bar layer.
  • Bake for about 55 minutes. It will puff up in the center and will drop a little after you remove it from the oven. Let cool.
  • Mix chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a microwave safe dish and spread over the cooked cake when it's cooled.
