Strawberry Valentine Oreo Cookies Recipe

These cookies are so easy to make using a strawberry cake mix. The cream cheese frosting takes them over the top. It’s the perfect dessert for your special Valentine.

Ingredients

Cookie:

  • 1 (16oz) box strawberry cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ cup shortening

Frosting:

  • 8 ounce package cream cheese , (softened)
  • 4 Tablespoons butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Mix together cake mix, eggs, and shortening until well combined.
  • The dough will be thick.Roll dough into balls making sure they are all about the same size and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Cool on a cooling rack.
  • For the frosting mix together the cream cheese, butter, vanilla and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread onto the cooled cookies and sandwich them together.
