Beef and Noodle Casserole Recipe
A different take on your normal beef casserole. Our beef and noodle casserole recipe has all the delicious noodles, tomato sauce, and is super creamy and cheesy!

9x13 Inch Baking Dish
Medium Mixing Bowl
Non-stick Cooking Spray
- 8 ounces wide egg noodles 1 package
- 1 pound ground beef
- ¼ teaspoon garlic salt
- salt and pepper to taste
- 15 ounces tomato sauce 1 can
- ¾ cup sour cream
- 1 cup small curd cottage cheese
- ½ cup green onions diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cook egg noodles following directions on packaging. Rinse noodles in cold water and drain.
While noodles are cooking, brown ground beef in a pan with garlic salt and salt and pepper.
Drain excess grease from beef.
Add in tomato sauce and let simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.
In another bowl mix sour cream, cottage cheese, and green onions together. Add sour cream mixture to meat in skillet and mix well.
Place noodles and meat mixture in a 9x13-inch baking pan that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray and top with shredded cheese.
Cook for 20-25 minutes.
- Rinse the noodles in cold water to stop the cooking process, then drain them.
If you are not a fan of cottage cheese, you can always replace it with ricotta cheese.
If sour cream is not going to work for you, try using plain Greek yogurt as a substitute.
