We love a good gooey bar with caramel and peanuts. These were amazing and totally hit the spot! They taste a lot like a Pay Day Candy Bar and a Salted Nut Roll.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray a 13 x 9 inch pan, then set aside. In a large bowl, beat margarine with electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add brown sugar, egg yolks and vanilla. Beat until combined, scraping bowl occasionally. In a small bowl combine flour, pretzels, baking powder and baking soda. Add this to the butter and brown sugar bowl. Blend in with the mixer. Use a spoon to stir in any remaining flour mixture that the beaters didn't get. Press into bottom of the prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 13-14 minutes or until lightly browned. In a medium microwave safe bowl, combine marshmallow creme and peanut butter. Microwave on HIGH for about 30 seconds or until softened and slightly melted. Stirring to combine well. Then stir in powdered sugar. Spread mixture over the crust. Drop by little spoonfuls all over to soften with the heat of the bottom crust, then spread very gently. Sprinkle with salted peanuts.
In a heavy large saucepan, combine unwrapped caramels and milk. Cook and stir over low/medium heat until melted and smooth, stirring often. Pour caramel mixture evenly over peanut layer. Cool in pan. They cut better if refrigerated and set up well. Cut into bars.
