Equipment

  • Medium Saucepan
  • large pot

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces spaghetti noodles 1 package
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • cups chicken broth
  • cups milk
  • 1⅓ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken (I used a rotisserie chicken from the deli)
  • 1 head broccoli florets steamed

Instructions

  • Prepare noodles according to package directions, drain and set aside.  In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.  Whisk in flour, salt and pepper, until combined.  Whisk in chicken broth and milk until smooth.  Stir in cheese until melted.  Transfer cooked noodles to a large pot over low heat.  Add chicken, broccoli and cheese sauce.  Serve immediately.

Notes

*If you reheat your pasta and the sauce is too thick, add a little milk to loosen the sauce.
