Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 lbs pork tenderloin
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup honey
  • 4 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon tabasco sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.
  • In a small bowl mix together salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder, and cinnamon. Rub spice mixture on all sides of pork.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Brown pork on all sides, for about 4-5 minutes total.
  • Place tenderloins in prepared baking dish.
  • In another small bowl, mix together honey, garlic, and Tabasco sauce.
  • Pour the mixture on top of pork and and cook in the oven until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 140 degrees (about 20 minutes).
  • Remove pork from oven, loosely cover with foil, and let sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

This recipe could most definitely be made in a slow cooker. We still recommend browning the pork tenderloin, as directed in the recipe, but place it in a sprayed, slow cooker, then pour the sauce on top.
