Slow Cooker Green Beans Recipe

- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion diced
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 2 pounds fresh green beans rinsed and trimmed
- 1 can chicken broth (14 ounces)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- salt and pepper to taste
Spray a 6-quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
In a medium skillet add olive oil and sauté onion and garlic over medium heat until they are tender, about 5 minutes.
Add sautéed onion and garlic along with all other ingredients to the slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low 4-5 hours, until beans are tender.
- If using frozen green beans, you don't need to thaw them first. Just add them to the slow cooker.
