Instant Pot BBQ Country Ribs Recipe
Easy, BBQ Country Style Ribs that can be made in the Instant Pot.
- 4 pounds boneless country style pork ribs
- ½ cup BBQ seasoning
- 1½ cups apple juice
- 1 Tablespoon liquid smoke
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup BBQ Sauce
Rub all sides of the ribs with BBQ seasoning; set aside.
Place apple juice, liquid smoke and vinegar in the bottom of the Instant Pot insert and place trivet in the bottom.
Place ribs on the trivet trying not to overlap too much.
Cover with lid, and turn the pressure knob to SEALING.
Press the MANUAL or PRESSURE COOK button and set the timer for 25 minutes.
When cooking is done, let it release naturally for 10 minutes, then turn the knob to VENTING for a quick release then remove lid once pressure is out..
Preheat broiler to low heat.
Using tongs, remove ribs from the Instant Pot and place on a baking sheet lined with foil.
Spread BBQ sauce on top of ribs and place in the broiler for a few minutes until sauce starts to caramelize. Watch closely to avoid burning or drying out ribs.
Remove from oven and serve.
HOW TO TURN THIS INTO A FREEZER MEAL:
Place ribs, BBQ seasoning, juice, liquid smoke, and apple cider vinegar into a gallon-sized freezer bag. Place freezer bag into freezer and it will last up to 90 days.
When ready to use, dump ingredients from bag into Instant Pot and add 1/2 cup of water or chicken broth in with the frozen food.
Place the lid on top, move the valve to SEALING, and press the MANUAL button. Set timer for 45 minutes. Let the pressure do a NATURAL RELEASE when the timer is done. Follow the rest of the instructions as written.
