Mixing Bowl
Aluminum Foil
- 3 pounds sliced ham (spiral sliced works great)
- 20 ounces sliced pineapple rings 1 can, (drain and reserve juice)
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup honey
- 2 Tablespoons water
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Carve the ham into pieces as you would when you normally carve your ham.
Cut the pineapple slices in half.
Spray a 9 x 13 inch pan with non stick cooking spray
Place the ham and pineapple slices in a row, in the pan. I did every 2 or 3 slices of ham to 1 slice of pineapple. (Remember to reserve the pineapple juice.)
In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, honey, water, cinnamon, nutmeg and 1/3 cup reserved pineapple juice until fully combined.
Pour the mixture on top of the ham and pineapple.
Cover the pan with foil, place in oven and bake for 40 minutes or until ham and pineapple are hot.
- If you want a pop of color, you could also use a few scattered leaves or sprigs of chopped parsley. I would also pair the parsley with fresh cracked pepper.
