- 1 Tablespoon butter
- ¼ cup onion diced
- 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
- 16 ounce can refried beans
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 2 green onions diced
- tortilla chips for serving
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat and saute onion and garlic for 2-3 minutes, or until onions start to soften.
Add refried beans to the saucepan and stir until heated through.
Remove from heat and fold in cream cheese.
Spread bean mixture into a pie pan or small baking dish sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
Top with cheese.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
Garnish with green onion.
Serve with tortilla chips.
