  • 1 package spice cake mix
  • 15 ounces pumpkin puree
  • cup water
  • cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs


  • 8 ounces cream cheese 1 package, softened to room temperature
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 Tablespoons sour cream
  • 6 cups powdered sugar


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a muffin tins with paper liners.
  • Mix together cake mix, pumpkin, water, oil and eggs until well combined.
  • Pour batter into prepared cups, filling 2/3 full.
  • Bake for 18-23 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool completely.


  • In a large bowl, beat together cream cheese, butter, vanilla and sour cream until fluffy.
  • Beat in powdered sugar until smooth.
