Bite Size Cherry Pies Recipe

Ingredients

  • 14.1 ounces Pillsbury pie crust dough
  • 20 ounces cherry pie filling
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 Tablespoon milk
  • 3 teaspoons sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Remove pie crust dough from refrigerator and thaw at room temperature for at least 20 minutes.
  • Roll out each pie crust and cut into 2"x3" squares.
  • Roll out uneven squares to be equal sizes.
  • Taking two squares, place 3-4 cherries in the middle of one square, and cut "V" shaped lines in the other square.
  • Place cut dough over cherries and seal the edges with a fork.
  • Repeat with all dough squares (this should make about 12 mini pies).
  • In a small bowl, whisk together egg whites, milk and vanilla until frothy.
  • Using a basting brush, brush egg wash over each mini pie.
  • Sprinkle with sugar.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until pie crust begins to golden.
